In this almost totally candlelit performance Pip Utton recreates those readings using the adaptation of the story made and used by Charles Dickens himself. This performance will be taking place in the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum bringing together two nineteenth century giants of literature and literacy, Charles Dickens through his extraordinary body of work and Andrew Carnegie through the establishment of 2500 public libraries, the first of which opened in Dunfermline in August 1883.
